Jeremy gained his undergraduate degree in Forensics from the University of West Florida in 2000. While attending the University of West Florida Jeremy played Rugby, earning Deep South All-star honors, and is a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon. After graduation, He immediately began service as an Intelligence Officer in the US Army. He was a paratrooper with a deployment to Kosovo and achieved the rank of Captain. After military service, Jeremy spent over 10 years as a law enforcement officer in both Alabama and Florida. He had a variety of service areas and served his community as a Patrol Officer, K-9 Officer, Detective, and Lieutenant. As having a desire to continue his education, Jeremy obtained his master’s degree in Theology and a Doctorate in Ministry while serving as a bi-vocational Pastor. Jeremy graduated from Birmingham School of Law in 2016 and immediately took and passed the Alabama Bar Exam and subsequently was licensed in Tennessee also. He has several practice areas ranging from Property law to tort and criminal cases. He has also represented clients forming new businesses and contracts.

Jeremy grew up as the son of a Military Officer in the US Navy and spent his life moving all over the world. Jeremy was born in Pell City, Alabama with his twin brother, Jason, and they, as children, lived in New Orleans, Virginia, Hawaii, Florida, and graduated from Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan. Jeremy is married to his better half, Jenny Richards and they have six children: Dylan, Claire, Maggie, Kara, Caleigh, and Caitlin. They are all active members of Meadowview Baptist Church where Jeremy is a Deacon and teaches Sunday School for adults.
