A family is heartbroken following a motor vehicle collision that cost one man his life and critically injured another. The fatal car accident occurred early one Sunday afternoon and involved two vehicles. Victims of other accidents in Tennessee can obtain guidance from legal professionals as they consider taking action against the party or parties deemed responsible.
An automobile occupied by a 69-year-old man and his wife was traveling west along the interstate prior to the crash. A tractor-trailer driven by a 57-year-old man was moving in the opposite direction and crossed over the median dividing traffic, slamming into the couple's vehicle. The impact killed the husband at the scene of the crash, while his wife was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment of her injuries. She has since undergone several surgeries in her recovery.
The truck driver allegedly responsible also suffered minor injuries during the course of the collision. Authorities continue to investigate this accident and the events leading up to the collision. Charges are pending against the party deemed responsible for the head-on accident.
The surviving victim and her family have the right to file claims for her personal injury and her husband's wrongful death resulting from this car accident. With the assistance of an experienced personal injury attorney, these claims may result in financial relief for all documented items of monetary losses. Other victims of collisions in Tennessee have resources available to them that can be helpful as they seek to pursue claims for monetary redress following a motor vehicle accident.
