A 39-year-old man has lost his life in a tragic Tennessee car accident. According to state troopers, the two-car accident happened in Bulls Gap at approximately 7 a.m. Another man, aged 34, was injured in the collision and was fortunate to survive.
The rush-hour car accident caused traffic to back up for approximately a half mile along a local roadway. The congestion nearly stretched all the way to the Interstate 81 on and off ramps as emergency crews struggled to free one person out of a blue pickup truck. A white four-dour sedan was the second vehicle involved in the collision.
Law enforcement officials from Greene County and Hawkins County responded to assist at the car accident scene. As of the last report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, officers were still engaged in a detailed investigation of the crash scene and they had yet to determine its cause. Their continued investigation will likely include an analysis of eyewitness testimony of any bystanders, in addition to the stories of any drivers and/or passengers who survived.
Family members of the Tennessee resident who died in this car accident will certainly want answers. They will want to know how their loved one died, and they will want to know who was responsible. Police investigations will likely reveal who was at fault, but even still, family members may want to perform independent evaluations of how this fatal accident happened. The results of these investigations could also lead to a wrongful death lawsuit against the party or parties deemed responsible.
