Teen dies in Tennessee car accident, 6 injured

Tennessee Highway Patrol officers say that a 17-year-old passenger was killed in a horrific three-car accident along Interstate 64. The crash occurred in White House on the afternoon of a recent Thursday. Initially, law enforcement officers reported that two people died in the car accident, but later they reported that the second individual actually survived, albeit with serious injuries. The serious accident resulted in injury to six different people, and three motor vehicles were involved.

Law enforcement officials claim that the car crash happened because an 18-year-old man driving in a Ford Taurus lost control of his vehicle. The car, in which the deceased 17-year-old was riding as a passenger, had been going in a northbound direction on the interstate. After losing control, the vehicle entered the interstate median and then it crossed direction into oncoming southbound traffic, where it crashed head-on into a sport utility vehicle.

The force of the impact resulted in the death of the 17-year-old boy who was riding as a passenger in the Taurus. Further, the sport utility vehicle ended up crashing into another sport utility vehicle. Two LifeFlight helicopters out of Nashville arrived on scene to transport victims to the hospital and another Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter came from Bowling Green. Another three ambulances were required to transport additional victims by ground to the hospital. As of the latest reports, all those who suffered injuries were either in stable condition or had been released from the hospital.

An injurious car accident can take its toll on Tennessee victims and their families. Medical bills, emotional pain and physical suffering are difficult challenges that every victim and family must struggle to overcome. For this reason, many people who are injured or families of people who are killed in a serious car accident may wish to seek restitution in civil court for their injuries or loss. If navigated to a successful conclusion, a personal injury case like this can provide a sense of closure to those who have lost a loved one and it can also provide vital financial restitution to pay for medical expenses, counseling services, lost income and a wide variety of other damages that may have occurred.
