Worker falls 11 stories and suffers critical job site injury

Any worker could find him or herself being injured on the job, whether that worker is employed at a bank, a barbershop or a construction site. However, some workplaces are far more dangerous than others. For example, some workplaces in Cleveland, Tennessee have dangerous and potentially fatal chemicals present on the job and other sites involve working in extremely hazardous construction sites. In such dangerous conditions, a worker could easily suffer a job site injury that could even lead to death.

On the afternoon of Aug. 20, a workman at a Germantown, Tennessee building was found on the ground after he had fallen 11 stories. Authorities are still investigating what happened. However, they have not indicated that alcohol or foul play was a factor in the incident.

Miraculously, the worker did not die immediately after he fell. He apparently landed on the roof of a sport utility vehicle and was rushed to a hospital for treatment after being found. As of Aug. 20, he was believed to be in critical condition. If this injured worker pulls through, it will truly be a miracle that he survived such a fall.

Whenever a worker suffers a job site injury, he or she can file a workers' compensation claim to help pay for medical care and other covered expenses. Workers' compensation may also include lost wages resulting from an inability to work due to injuries. This kind of compensation is immeasurably helpful to any injured worker, but it is especially helpful to those in Cleveland and elsewhere in Tennessee with limited funds who might be completely crippled financially due to an inability to work.
